At Renieris Hotel, one of our main aims is to respect and protect the environment. To do this, we have implemented and adopted the following:

• Installed 10KW solar panels on our roof for generating electricity—our energy statistics can be found here
• 85% of the hot water used in the hotel is created from solar energy
• For lighting, we use economy lightbulbs and LED lighting
• Power is automatically switched off in rooms when not in use, except for the refrigerator
• Carefully monitored thermostats in the central hot water heating system
• Thermal insulation of buildings and facilities to reduces energy loss (e.g. double glazed doors and isolated walls)
• Automatic limited watering system for the garden that only works at night
• The hotel’s central kitchen operates on efficient gas
• Recycling of all waste and garbage (kitchen oils, paper, glass, batteries, ink, power, etc.)
• Our maids separate all garbage into paper, plastic, glass and aluminium
